Who tells us what we should fear? And why are we scared of things that are far away, unclear and irrational, while the closest are often accepted or put aside?

Pineapple, tomato, cauliflower. In „Frucht und Schrecken“ three performers take a close look at food production from a horror movie perspective.
Food is existential, immediate, and familiar. It invades our bodies and merges with our cells daily. But how well do we know what we eat?
A glimps behind the sunny season leads us into the abyss of the root, the infestation of nutrition has began and the inversion of the food chain is not far off.

It is about time to essentially fear food.
